Register below for the POTS! 2022-23 Season!
After two years of limited activity due to COVID19, POTS! returns to Hofstra University this Fall with regular classes and rehearsals. Middle school and high school students are encouraged to participate in this world-class, pre-collegiate program for young percussionists. Students are fully engaged for 2 1/2 hours.
POTS! meets Sundays from 10AM - 12:30PM, Oct. 2, 2022 through May 7, 2023 on the main campus of Hofstra University. There are a total of 26 sessions where students will learn music fundaments, advanced percussion techniques, music festival preparation, college audition preparation, and receive ensemble and solo performance experience. The final project is a full percussion ensemble concert in the Spring of 2023.
POTS! instructors regularly perform with groups such as New York City Ballet, New York Philharmonic, and various Broadway shows, among others. Their teaching credentials include The Juilliard School, The Manhattan School of Music, Nassau County Public Schools, and Hofstra University.
